Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital is a trust-run, tertiary eye care institution headquartered in Visakhapatnam. Founded with the singular belief that sight is a fundamental right, the hospital has grown into a multi-centre network that performs over 4,02,576 surgeries — of which 2,77,190 were provided entirely free for the underprivileged. Through outreach camps, community screenings, and partnerships with government programmes, we continue to work toward the elimination of avoidable blindness in the regions we serve.
Accredited by NABH and recognised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as the Best NGO for eye care, the hospital combines clinical excellence with deep community commitment. Our fellowship programmes train the next generation of ophthalmologists, and our five centres now serve communities across two states.
