Private Rooms
20 independent A/C and Non-A/C rooms providing comfortable, private inpatient stays for patients requiring recovery post-surgery.
Optical Shop
In-house optical store managed directly by the hospital, offering quality ophthalmic lenses, frames, and custom prescription glass fittings.
Diagnostic Lab
Advanced diagnostic lab for clinical pathology, haematology, biochemistry, serology, and all required pre-surgical profiles.
Pharmacy
Dispenses high-quality medicines at standard MRP. Note: Post-operative medicines are provided completely free of cost for all surgeries (Paid & Free).

To ensure that we can serve all members of the community effectively, Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital operates two types of Outpatient Departments (OPDs):
General OPD (Paid)
Designed for walk-in and scheduled private consultations. Patients receive expedited registrations, diagnostic evaluations, and consultations with senior consulting doctors.
General OPD (Free)
Operated for low-income and outreach patients. Consultations, preliminary screenings, and basic evaluations are provided free of charge, with treatments subsidized or sponsored.

Are post-operative medicines really free?+
Yes, Sankar Foundation provides post-operative eye drops and essential follow-up medicines completely free of cost for all surgical patients (both paid and free categories).
How long does a typical OPD consultation take?+
A standard consultation includes visual acuity testing, pressure testing, and doctor examination, which takes about 1 to 1.5 hours. Dilated examinations may require an additional 45 minutes for pupil dilation.
Are emergency eye services available outside OPD hours?+
